ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to rectify revenue records in Survey No.81/10 an extent of 0.49 ars in Thirukoviloor Village, Villupuram District so as to reflect the name of the petitioner and his wife.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that they are in possession in Survey No.81/10 an extent of 0.49 ars in Thirukoviloor Village, Villupuram District. To their shock, patta stood in favour of third party. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents on 19.12.2015 and the same is pending without consideration till date. Hence, seeks this Court for appropriate orders.

3. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record. Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this Court directs the petitioner to file appropriate application before the jurisdictional Tahsildar seeking for modification in the patta under Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Act, 1983 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order, thereafter, the concerned jurisdictional Tahsildar shall pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, on payment of 2/4

requisite fees.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
