PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to effect the change of my name as ''P.PERUMAL'' from my old name ''P.Shankar'' and publish the same in the Tamilnadu Government Gazette publication at th earliest. The Writ petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent namely the Assistant Director (Publication), Directorate of Stationary & Printing to effect change in the name of the petitioner from P.Shankar to P.Perumal and publish the same in the Tamil Nadu Gazatte. The grievance of the petitioner is that actually he is the son of Periyathambi, and born on 24.05.1973, and studied up to 9th standard and is working as a coolie. Since a numerologist advised him to change his name, now he has changed his name to P.Perumal. He had therefore, given necessary application for the same. However, it is stated that in his Transfer Certificate issued by the School, his father's name has been stated as ''Periannan''. Therefore, the petitioner has also corrected the details in his https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Aadhar card. Now, the petitioner has filed a fresh application before the concerned respondent by filing necessary documents. The respondent is directed to pass an order after examining the documents provided. The petitioner is directed to submit a fresh application on or before 10.01.2020 and respondent may pass orders on the same on or before 15.02.2020. 2.With the above observation, the Writ petition stands disposed of. No Costs.
