Mr.D.R.Arun Kumar, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice for the respondents and is armed with instructions to enable a final disposal of this Writ Petition, even at the stage of admission.

2. The petitioner claims to be a sub-contractor of R2 who was assigned a work order by R1 being the Chief Engineer/Civil/Transmission, Tangedco. He is aggrieved by alleged outstandings pursuant to the work performed by him under work order issued in 2019 for Hi-Power tension cable work. He claims that the work was completed in 2022 itself. However, the amount is yet to be paid.

3. As per paragraph 6 of the writ affidavit, significant amounts are pending, the details of which are not set out, as the petitioner claims to have made a representation on 03.05.2024 giving all the details for settlement of dues.

4. Mr.Arun Kumar would accede to the receipt of representation dated 03.05.2024 and would assure the Court that R1 will dispose the same expeditiously.

5. Hence, mandamus is issued to R1 to hear the petitioner as well as R2 and dispose representation dated 03.05.2024, where the petitioner has sought settlement of dues of Rs.2,17,22,380/-, in the accordance with law, the terms of the work order and all applicable Rules and Regulations, within a period of six (6) weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order.
