C O M M O N O R D E R All these four Writ Petitions have been filed with a comman prayer to declare the writ petitioners as Direct Agent of LIC of India, within a time frame.
2.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the Writ Petitioners fulfilled the requirements to become a Direct Agent, based on the Circular issued by the respondent Corporation.
3.However, the learned Counsel for the respondents opposed the said contention by stating that the Circular as pleaded by the writ petitioners has no relevance in respect of the relief sought for in the Writ Petitions.
4.At this juncture the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the representations submitted by the petitioners in this regard.
5.Though this Court is not inclined to grant the relief as sought for in the Writ Petitions, liberty is granted to the respondents to consider the representations submitted by the Writ Petitioners, if the same are in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the respondent Corporation and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible. The Writ Petitions are disposed of on the above term. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
