O R D E R

The petitioners/defendants have filed this revision seeking direction for early disposal of the suit in O.S.No.58 of 2012 on the file of District Munsif Court, Ponneri.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit

that the petitioners have filed the written statement as early as on 23.07.2012 and the matter was posted for trial on 05.03.2014. However, there seems to be no progress. The defendants 1 & 2 are senior citizens and the plaintiff, according to them is a trespasser.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the records. Despite service of notice and the name of the respondent having been printed in the cause list, none appears for the respondent.

4. Without going into the merits of the case, the District Munsif, Ponneri is directed to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.58 of 2012, on or before 31.07.2017. The learned District Munsif, Ponneri shall not seek any further extension of time for disposal of the suit.

5. With the above observation, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
