.. Respondents Prayer: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on merits by disposing the written representation made by the petitioners on 06.10.2015 within a stipulated time.

The petitioners are said to be owning lands in Edhanemilli village, Melathipakkam post, Gingee taluk, Villupuram District. With the grievance that the public pathway leading to their lands, will have to be restored to its original position by removing the mud and basing reliance upon the resolution of the local body, a representation was made by the petitioners on 06.10.2015 to the respondents. As the same has not been considered till date, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioners.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. Considering the facts of the case and without going into the merits of the same, a direction is hereby issued to the second and third respondents to pass appropriate orders on the pending representation of the petitioners dated 06.10.2015 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
