The writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.09.2023. 2.

Mr.N.Naveen Kumar, learned Government Advocate representing on behalf of Mr.A.Edwin Prabhakaran, learned Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.

The case of the petitioner is that his father was worked as Waiter in the respondent department and died while he was in service. Thereafter, the petitioner was appointed as Cleaner in the respondent department under compassionate ground with effect from 11.11.1996. Later, the petitioner was re-designated as Office Assistant with effect from 27.02.2019. It is the submission of the petitioner that he possess the required educational qualification eligible to be appointed as Junior Assistant. Hence, he has given a representation to the respondent on 14.09.2023 to appoint him for the post of Junior Assistant. In spite of receipt of the representation, the respondent did not pass any order.

Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record. 5.

Since the petitioner has come up with the limited prayer with a direction to the respondent to consider the representation, this Court deem it appropriate to direct the respondent to pass orders on the representation of the petitioner according to its own merits.

In the result, the Writ Petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.09.2023 according to its own merits and pass order within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
