: Mr.K.Selvaraj For Respondent in WP.16498/2025: Ms.V.S.Saranya Standing Counsel for TASMAC For Respondent in WP.16502/2025: Mr.Sathish Kumar Standing Counsel for TASMAC ***** C O M M O N O R D E R The instant writ petitions have been filed seeking the relief of writ of Certiorari, calling for the records relating to the Order of the respondent (i).dated 16.04.2025 in Na.Ka.No.CV-1/199/2025 and (ii) dated 22.04.2025 in Na.Ka.No.309/2025/R.V1 respectively and quash the same.
2. Heard Mr.K.Selvaraj, learned counsel for the petitioners and Ms.V.S.Saranya and Mr.Sathish Kumar, learned Standing Counsels for TASMAC appearing for the respondents.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners were suspended on 16.04.2025 and 22.04.2025 respectively on receipt of unauthorised excess receipt of sale price of Rs.10/- for a liquor bottle. He would further submit that the petitioners have put in unblemished service of more than 23 years.
4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent would strongly object the petitioners' contention and would submit that the 2/4
suspension order is passed very recently and there is no ground for interference with the same.
5. Though the petitioners challenged the suspension orders, they restrict their prayer requesting the respondent to consider their representation to be sent within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Since the petitioners have restricted their prayer seeking to consider their representations, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the petitioners to submit the representation within a period of two(2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, upon receipt of such representations, the respondent is directed to consider the representations according to it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a further period of eight(8) weeks.
6. In view of the above discussions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected WMPs are also closed.
