This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the respondent to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 06.08.2021.

2.It is seen from the affidavit that the petitioner was the Secretary of the Association of Cine and Television Art Directors of Southern India [ACTADSI]. One of its member viz., Umashankar had maladroitly stolen the Association Letter Head and typed certain derogatory and scurrilous matters which directly defame and injure the good name of the petitioner in order to dissolve the association. Thereafter the petitioner had lodged a complaint before the respondent police, whereas the respondent has not chosen to investigate except to issue that of a C.S.R.No.398 of 2021 dated 07.08.2021 and no action taken. The petitioner called for enquiry and he had not co-operated for the enquiry.

3.The counter complaint given by the said Umashankar in Crime No.742 of 2021 came to be registered for the offence under Sections 294(b) and 506(i) IPC. The petitioner was arrested and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

later let out on station bail. Due to the non-cooperation of the petitioner, the above said C.S.R.No.398 of 2021 is still pending.

4.In view of the same, the petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent police and submit the documents and materials in support of his contention.

5.The learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] submitted that if the petitioner appears before the respondent police and submits any documents, the same would be considered by the respondent police.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
