2. The record reveals that H.S.No.355 of 2006 has been opened against this petitioner due to criminal cases registered against him after lapse of 18 years. The petitioner has made a representation to the authorities to delete his name from the History Sheet and the same is still pending.

The Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents states that the representation of the petitioner dated 02.02.2024 is in active consideration and appropriate orders will be passed following the Rules 747 & 748 of Tamil Nadu Police Standing Order 2010, within a period of four weeks.

Recording the above undertaking given by the Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Writ Petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent police to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.02.2024, within a period of four weeks, from the date of receipt of copy of this order. No costs.
