This writ petition has been filed to direct the second respondent herein, to permit the petitioner to join his services as an acting Sergeant at KGH Hospital, Chennai.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, Mr.Karthikei Balan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that if the petitioner report for duty on any one of the immediate working days, he will be permitted to join duty at Stanley Medical College and Hospital, Chennai. 3. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner has already appeared before the Medical Board and was found fit. Despite being found fit, he was not allowed to join duty at Stanley Medical College and Hospital, Chennai.
4. In any event, in view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, nothing survives for further consideration in this writ petition. Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to report for duty before the authority concerned at Stanley Medical College and Hospital, Chennai, immediately without delay. The respondents are directed to permit the petitioner to join duty without prejudice to the rights of both the parties.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
