Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent herein to disburse the award amount pursuant to the award made by the second respondent in Rc.G4/2/2010 dated 15.09.2017 within a time frame as fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to disburse the award amount to the petitioner pursuant to the award made by the second respondent on 15.09.2017.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the subject property belonging to him was acquired by the National Highways and the second respondent has also passed the award by proceedings dated 15.09.2017 and the compensation amount payable to the petitioner was also fixed at a sum of Rs.74,74,586/-.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that this amount is yet to be disbursed to the petitioner. The petitioner made several representations in this regard and since the same did not evoke any response, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court for appropriate directions.
4. Heard Mr.M.R.Thangavel, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.D.Raja, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.
5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also of the fact that the second respondent has already fixed the compensation payable to the petitioner as early as in the year 2017 itself, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 21.08.2020 and disburse the entire award amount to the petitioner after verifying all the records, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the second respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order.
6. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
