PRAYER:

This petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 14.07.2014 and reminder dated 22.08.2015 by granting scholarship due to the Adi Dravidar students admitted by the petitioner to the GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course for the academic years 2011-12 and 2012-13 within a time frame fixed by this court.

ORDER

The petitioner herein is a school. A representation was made by the petitioner to the respondent No. 3 on 14.07.2014 followed by reminder dated 22.08.2015, seeking scholarship due to the Adi Dravidar students admitted by the petitioner to the General Nursing and Midwifery Course for the academic years 2011-12 and 2012-13. Despite the same, as no further action is forthcoming, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to expedite the said process.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. Considering the pendency of the representation dated 14.07.2014 and reminder dated 22.08.2015, without going into the merits of the case, a direction is issued to the 3rd respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders in the petitioner's application dated 14.07.2014 and reminder dated 22.08.2015, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.
