ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondents to select and appoint the petitioner to the post of PG Assistant in Economics under Tamil Medium Quota based on the marks secured by her in the examination conducted on 27.05.2012, the present writ petition came to be filed.

2.Upon notice, the first respondent filed a detailed counter affidavit, inter alia stating that as per the instructions uploaded on the first respondent website on 13.05.2013, the petitioner, who failed to produce the certificates to claim Tamil Medium Reservation, was given opportunity to attend certificate verification and produce the certificates in respect of her study through Tamil Medium in P.G. and B.Ed Courses, on 27.05.2013. However, she did not avail the said opportunity https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

granted by the respondents. Hence, she was not entitled to be considered under the quota for horizontal reservation for Tamil medium.

3.Today, when this matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that the relief sought for herein has become infructuous and hence, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition.

4.In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
