Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to change the classification of the petitioner's land Survey No.716/1A, situated in Thondamuthur village, Perur Taluk, Coimbatore District as agricultural land instead of house sites by considering the petitioners written representation dated 19.03.2025.

ORDER
The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to change the classification of the petitioner's land comprised in S.No.716/1A, situated at Thondamuthur village, Perur Taluk, Coimbatore District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2025.
2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that subsequent to the filing of present writ petition, the 1st respondent directed the 2nd respondent to call for records. It is submitted that by the learned counsel for the petitioner that he would confine the prayer in the writ petition only to ensure that petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2025 is considered and disposed of within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
3.At the outset, it is submitted by learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents that representation dated 19.03.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed within a time frame 2/5
to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.
4.In view of the same, considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2025 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested party/rival claimants, if any, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representation and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law.
