O R D E R

Instant writ petition has been filed, to quash the order passed by the first respondent, in his proceeding No.RC.A9/1522/2008, dated 28/3/2008.

2. The case of the petitioner is that when he was working as Sub-Inspector of Survey (Town Survey), Egmore Taluk, Chennai, on 27/3/2008, one Mr.Sai Venugopal has made an attempt, to give a bribe of Rs.10,000/-, for giving CMDA plan. When he refused to accept it, money was thrust to him. At that time vigilance https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

officer/first respondent came and arrested the petitioner. Vide proceeding No.RC.A9/1522/2008, dated 28/3/2008, petitioner was suspended from service. It is this order which is sought to be challenged.

3. Today, when the matter came up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that she does not want to pursue the writ petition and wants to withdraw the same. She has also made an endorsement to that effect.

4. In view of the endorsement made the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
