This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner forthwith by considering the representation submitted by wife on dated 29.01.2014.

2. The petitioner seeks police protection forthwith by considering the representation submitted by wife on dated 29.01.2014. Now, almost five years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, on fresh cause of action, if so advised.

3. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Cost. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
