Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus to consider the joint representation of the petitioners dated 05.07.2014 for issuance of patta in favour of the petitioners with regard to the lands admeasuring 7 to 12 cents approximately under their occupations comprised in survey No.254/2 and 254/3 at No.48, Melkolvoy Village, Chengalpattu Taluk, Kanchipuram District.

The petitioners have filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus to consider the joint representation of the petitioners dated 05.07.2014 for issuance of patta in favour of the petitioners with regard to the lands admeasuring 7 to 12 cents approximately under their occupations comprised in Survey Nos.254/2 and 254/3 at No.48, Melkolvoy Village, Chengalpattu Taluk, Kanchipuram District. 2.The case of the petitioners is that they are living in various extent of lands admeasuring 7 to 12 cents approximately, comprised in Survey Nos.254/2 and 254/3 at No.48, Melkolvoy Village, Chengalpattu Taluk, Kanchipuram District. They made representation dated 05.07.2013 to the respondents seeking issuance of patta and since the same has not yet been considered, have filed this writ petition.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that this Court may issue direction to the respondents to consider the joint representation of the petitioners dated 05.07.2014 and to pass appropriate orders within a reasonable time frame.
4.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, this Court directs the petitioners to send a copy of the representation dated 05.07.2014 to the second respondent along with a copy of this order within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, so as to enable the second respondent to pass appropriate orders. On receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioners representation dated 05.07.2014, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks thereafter.
