ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to take back the petitioner's application dated 25.03.2026 along with the documents for the transfer of permit of mini bus TN 39 DF 0707 plying on the route Sulur Perumalkoil to Pappampatti.

2. It is stated that the petitioner is the holder of a Mini Bus permit granted by the 1st respondent for operating the service on the route Sulur Perumalkoil to Pappampatti, Coimbatore District, valid from 18.07.2025. Later, she submitted application for transfer of permit in favour of her grandson as the said request was due to her age ailments. It is the grievance of the petitioner that without considering the ground realities, the 2nd respondent returned the said application stating impediment for transfer. In such circumstances, this writ petition has been filed.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has now decided not to pursue the application for transfer of permit. He further submitted that a direction may be issued to the respondents to consider the petitioner's request for withdrawal of the application dated 25.03.2026 and pass appropriate orders. In view of the above, he prayed for issuance of suitable directions to consider the petitioner's claim, within a time frame. 2/4

4. Learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that if any such representation seeking withdrawal of the application is pending, the same would be considered in accordance with law and appropriate orders would be passed within a stipulated time frame.

5. This Court has considered the submissions made by learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6. In view of the limited relief now sought by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the earlier application seeking transfer of permit, this Court directs the petitioner to submit a fresh representation along with this order copy to the 1st respondent, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such submission, the 1st respondent shall consider the petitioner's claim and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks thereafter.

7. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
