Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.T.N.Rajagopalan, learned Special Government Pleader, who took notice for the respondent and with their consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal. 2.The writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.10.2015 and to direct the respondent to permit him to quarry savud at Madambakkam Lake, Tambaram Taluk, Kancheepuram District, as per earlier order of the respondent bearing No. NA.KA.No. 216/2013-Q3 dated 13.09.2011.
3. Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice if a direction is given to the respondent to dispose of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
representation of the petitioner dated 01.10.2015, within a time frame.
4. Since the representation of the petitioner seeking permission to quarry savudu after the change in weather condition is kept pending, without going into the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.10.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
