Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 02.10.2014 and to register the petitioner's name as a cultivating tenant in Tamilnadu Agricultural Cultivating Tenant Register.

ORDER

By consent of both parties, the present writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. On 02.10.2014, the petitioner made a representation to the second respondent seeking to declare himself as a cultivating tenant with respect to the land situated in Survey Nos.647, 648/1D, Kadakathur Village, Dharmapuri Circle, Dharmapuri District. As the said representation is still pending consideration for more than a year, despite a subsequent representation made to the first respondent dated 16.03.2015, the present writ petition has been filed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

4. Taking into consideration of the above said facts and without going into the merits of the case, a direction is issued to the second respondent to pass appropriate orders on the pending application of the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with a law, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as to the private respondents, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the present writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
