Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the first respondent to produce the body or person of the petitioner's husband viz., A.Premkumar S/o.Ashok Kumar, aged about 43 years, before this Court and set him at liberty. [Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J] This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to produce the petitioner's husband viz., A.Premkumar S/o.Ashok Kumar, aged about 43 years, before this Court and set him at liberty.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that her husband A.Premkumar went missing from 18.07.2021. In this connection, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the petitioner has given a complaint to the respondents. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her husband.
3. On instructions, learned Government Advocate [crl.side] submits that based on the complaint of the petitioner, a case in Tiruppur North P.S.Crime No.1624 of 2021 has been registered for 'man missing' and investigation is in progress.
4. In view of the above, we direct the Assistant Commissioner of Police (North), Tiruppur, to monitor the investigation in Tiruppur North P.S.Crime No.1624 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenu is secured, he shall be produced before the learned Judicial Magistrate I, Tiruppur, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders.
With the above direction, this Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of.
