Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.01.2014 in order to declare the petitioner's temple, Salem, Lord Sri Vennangudi Muniyappan Festival at Periyaputhur, Salem - 636 010 in the respondent's Gazette within a stipulated in accordance with law and thereby permit and ensure the petitioner's temple to celebrate the Muniappan function with Bulls in the forth coming festival date on 23.05.2014.

The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to notify the petitioner's village in the Government Gazette for the purpose of conducting a Jallikattu in respect of Sri Vennangudi Munniappan Festival at Periyaputhur Village, Salem.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that already State Government issued notification including the petitioner's village for the purpose of conducting Jallikattu and a Gazette notification was also issued on 25.05.2018 under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, as amended by the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals [Tamil Nadu Amendment] Act, 2017.

3. Considering the above circumstances, as already the village has been notified under the Act, no further adjudication is required in the writ petition.
