ORDER
The petitioner seeks for issuance of a Mandamus directing the respondent to sanction educational loan to his son for pursuing his 3rd year B.E. course within a time to be prescribed by this Court.

According to the petitioner, his son is pursuing B.E. Civil Engineering Course in Ranganathan Engineering College, REC Kalvi Nagar, Viraliyur Post, Coimbatore District and presently he is in the third year of the course. It is claimed that the petitioner is an agriculturist and he has no source of income to enable his son pursue and complete the course. The petitioner therefore approached the respondent bank seeking educational loan and the bank also sanctioned a sum of Rs.65,000/- on the basis of the fee structure issued by the college. Similarly, the petitioner also received the fee amount from the bank to enable his son to pursue the second year course. The grievance of the petitioner is that the bank has refused to sanction educational loan to the petitioner to enable his son to pursue https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
his third year course on the ground that his son did not pass some of the exams,. his academic performance is poor and he has to write the arrear examinations of the previous year course. The petitioner sent a representation dated 09.10.2015 to the respondent to sanction educational loan for his son to pursue the third year course, but no order has been passed till date. Therefore, the petitioner has come up with this writ petition. 3.
When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the bank fairly submits that the application of the petitioner for sanction of educational loan for his son to pursue his third year Engineering Course will be considered and orders will be passed as per Law. 4.
In the light of the above submission of the learned counsel for the respondent, there will be a direction to the respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner for sanction of educational loan to enable his son to pursue third year Engineering Course and to pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
