Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent herein to consider the representation dated 18.10.2014 seeking to pay his salary and the arrears of salary as per the proceedings of the 3rd respondent in Na.Ka.No.A1/9095/2009-3 dated 29.12.2011 and to consider his name for promotion to the post of District Revenue Officer (DRO) while filling up the posts of District Revenue Officer (DRO) keeping seniority. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.10.2014 seeking to pay his salary alongwith the arrears, as per the proceedings of the third respondent in Na.Ka.No.A1/9095/2009-3 dated 29.12.2011 and to consider his name for promotion to the post of District Revenue Officer. 2.Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that during the pendency of this writ petition, the petitioner got promotion and he retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation and hence, nothing survives for adjudication. 3.In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs.
