For Petitioner in Crl.O.P.NO.7488/15 :Ms.Sudha Ramalingam For Petitioner in Crl.O.P.NO.6022/15 : Mr.S.Thankira For Respondents :Mr.Shanmuga Velayutham, Public Prosecutor C O M M O N O R D E R While the petitioner/husband filed Crl.O.P.No.7488 of 2015 to direct the respondent to register the complaint dated 21.02.2015 and investigate the same in accordance with law, the petitioner/wife filed Crl.O.P.No.6022 of 2015 to direct the 5th Respondent to register her complaint dated 20.02.2015 and proceed with the investigation in accordance with law and file a final report within a time frame.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. It appears that the petitioners are husband and wife and their matrimonial life ran into rough weather and it appears that they are estranged and matrimonial proceedings are pending before the Family Court, Madras. In this background, it is alleged that an incident took place on 20.01.2015 in PVR Theatre, Skywalk Mall, in respect of which both the petitioners have lodged a complaint and counter complaint. Both the complaints were taken on file in CSR Nos.87 of 2015 and 88 of 2015 and the police conducted investigation and thereafter a closure report has been submitted by the police to the higher authorities. A copy of the closure report is furnished to both the learned counsels across the Bar. In view of the same, both the Criminal Original Petitions are closed with liberty to the petitioners to work out their remedy in the manner known to law.
