Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the G.O.Ms.No.29, School Education (TRB) Department, dated 14.2.2014, passed by the 1st respondent, quash the same and consequently, direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner on the basis of marks awarded at Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test conducted by the 3rd respondent and as per G.O.Ms.No.145, dated 30.9.2010, on preferential basis. 1/5

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed challenging the G.O.Ms.No.29, School Education (TRB) Department, dated 14.2.2014, issued by the 1st respondent and for consequential direction to appoint the petitioner on the basis of the marks awarded at Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test conducted by the 3rd respondent.

2.When this Writ Petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate for the respondents by placing reliance of G.O.Ms.No.17, dated 30.05.2014 submitted that pursuant to the directions issued by this Court, dated 29.04.2014 in a batch of Writ Petitions in W.P.No.5590 of 2014, the Government had cancelled G.O.Ms.No.29, School Education (TRB) Department, dated 14.02.2014 and the present G.O.Ms.No.71, School Education (TRB) Department, dated 30.05.2014 was issued whereby weightage of marks have been fixed as figured in the 2/5

Government Order which has been issued by the directions of this Court. Further, he submitted that the relief sought for in this Writ Petition has become infructuous.

3.Recording the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate, this Writ Petition is dismissed. However, it is open to the petitioner to participate in the selection, if at all to be made pursuant to the Notification, in view of the weightage marks as specified in G.O.Ms.No.71, School Education (TRB) Department, dated 30.05.2014. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
