PRAYER : This petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.03.2015 and reminder dated 21.08.2015 for rectification of errors crept in Sub-Division in respect of land to an extent of 300 Sq.Mtr. comprised in Survey No.295 of Vellar Village, Mettur Taluk, Salem District, and issue Patta after rectifying the error in Sub-Division, within the time to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court. ORDER
The petitioner made a representation to the respondents stating that during the Natham survey, a factual error has crept in, with respect to the property situated in Survey No. 295 at Vellar Village, Mettur Taluk, Salem District. Thus, in the said representation dated 20.03.2015 followed by the reminder dated 21.08.2015, the petitioner has sought for rectifying the said error in the Sub-Division. As the said representation has not been considered till now, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

Considering the pendency of the representation dated 20.03.2015 and reminder dated 21.08.2015 and without going into the merits of the case, a direction is issued to the 1st respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 20.03.2015 and reminder dated 21.08.2015, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. It is hereby made clear that the appropriate orders on the pending representation of the petitioner can be passed either by the respondent No. 1 on his own or by directing the respondent No. 2 to do so.
