With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition is filed for a direction to the respondents to provide house site patta, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2023.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. According to the petitioner, he has applied for patta in respect of a house site admeasuring 2 cents situated in S.No.220/2, Vinnamangalam Village, Cheyyar Taluk, in which he is in possession for more than 40 years. Since the said land being 'Thoppu Poramboke' and the petitioner is in possession of the same, he made a representation dated 03.11.2023 to the respondents for issuance of patta in his favour. Since no action has 2/4

been taken by the respondents on the said representation, he has filed the present writ petition.

5. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that orders will be passed on merits by the 1st respondent.

6. Considering the limited relief sought in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2023 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
