ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to pay the difference in PF arrears, leave salary, gratuity, commutation and pension arrears with interest at the rate of 8% per annum as per 14th wage settlement dated 24.08.2022 within the time limit to be stipulated by this Court.

2. Mr.R.Venkatesa Perumal, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the 1st respondent. He would submit that the eligible amount will be paid to the petitioner within a reasonable time as may be fixed by this Court.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, in all the connected matters, this Court has consistently allowed the payment with interest at the rate of 6% per annum.

4. In that view of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of on the following terms:- (i) The respondents are directed to pay the difference in provident fund arrears, leave salary, gratuity, commutation arrears and pension arrears to the petitioner as per the 14th wage settlement dated 24.08.2022, if he is eligible as per the Rules within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order with interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date it became due, till the date of disbursement; (ii) If the amount is not paid within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, thereafter, the interest shall be calculated at the rate of 12% per annum from the date on which the amounts became due, till the date of disbursement; (iv) No costs.
