The learned counsel for the petitioners produced a copy of the order dated 12 September 2016 in W.P.No.36158 of 2015 [Union of India,Rep. by the General Manager, Southern Railway,Madurai and others v. S.Vennila] and submitted that the issue raised in this writ petition is covered against the Railways, in view of the said order.

2. We have also perused the order passed by the Division Bench in W.P.No.36158 of 2015. We are convinced that the issue is no longer res integra.
3. Accordingly, by following the order dated 12 September 2016 in W.P.No.36158 of 2015, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
