PRAYER:

This petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to pass an order on the petitioner's representation dated 02.05.2015.

ORDER

Placing reliance upon a judgement and decree rendered in O.S. No. 270 of 1993 on the file of District Munsif, Cuddalore, the petitioner made a representation to the respondent on 02.05.2015 seeking issuance of Patta in his favour. As the said request is pending consideration, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner before this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

3. Considering the pendency of the representation made by the petitioner, a direction is hereby issued to the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 02.05.2015, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the other private parties, if any.
