Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Certiorarified mandamus, to call for the records of the second respondent with No.1515/TOV/A2/Certificates/2016-17 dated 12.6.2016 and to quash the same and consequently to direct the respondents to issue Scheduled Caste of Puducherry Certificate to the petitioner. ORDER

(Order of the Court was delivered by HULUVADI G.RAMESH, J.) The petitioner has sought for issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus, to call for the records of the second respondent in No.1515/TOV/A2/Certificates/2016-17 dated 12.6.2016, to quash the same and consequently to direct the respondents to issue Scheduled Caste Certificate (Puducherry) to the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned senior counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for the respondents. A counter affidavit has also been filed by the respondents.

3. With regard to the issuance of Scheduled Caste community certificate, the appeal filed by the petitioner is said to be pending before the Deputy Collector (Revenue) South cum Sub Divisional Magistrate, Villianur. In the circumstances, we direct the appellate authority to do the needful in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The respondents are also at liberty to seek for further clarification from the petitioner in this regard. With this direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, W.M.P.Nos.18346 to 18348 of 2016 are closed. No costs.
