ORDER
The instant writ petition has been filed to direct respondents to pay 10% interest for the belated payment of terminal benefits such as Gratuity, Leave salary, P.F, and commutation of pension amount and difference in gratuity, Leave Salary and pension with arrears as per 14th wage settlement dated 24.08.2022 with 10% interest to the petitioners.
2. The case of the petitioners is that they were appointed in the first respondent Transport Corporation on various dates and after completion of unblemished service, they had retired from service. However, the terminal benefits have been settled to them belatedly and no interest has been paid for the delayed period. In view of the same, the petitioners submitted representations to the respondents to pay interest for the delayed period. Since the same was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed. 3. Learned Counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners are entitled for terminal benefits as per 14th wage settlement dated 24.08.2022. In this connection, all the petitioners have sent an individual representation and the same is yet to be considered by the respondents.
4. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submit that they would consider the petitioners' representation within a reasonable time.
5. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
6. In view of the above submission of the learned Standing Counsel, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation and pass order, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order on its own merits and in accordance with law.

In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
