The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pay interest @ 10% for the belated payment of terminal benefits such as Gratuity, Provident Fund and Leave Salary to the petitioner.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was appointed as Asst.Foreman in the respondent Transport Corporation and after completion of unblemished service, the petitioner had retired from service on 31.08.2022. In view of the same, the petitioner submitted representation dated 22.02.2025 to the respondents to pay interest for the delayed period. Since the same was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed. 2/5
