ORDER
The captioned writ petition has been filed challenging the notification dated 16.09.2016 issued by the 2nd respondent, inviting applications for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor (Fisheries Science) in the 2nd respondent-University.
2. The main ground of challenge to the said notification is that candidates possessing M.Sc. (Marine Biology) or M.Sc. (Coastal Aquaculture) degree should also have been permitted to apply for the said post of Assistant Professor (Fisheries Science), for which a basic degree of B.F.Sc. was prescribed as a requisite qualification in the notification.
3. This Court cannot interfere with any recruitment notification unless there is any mala fide or illegality. Furthermore, the impugned notification is of the year 2016, and by this length of time, the entire selection process would have been completed.
4. In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief sought in the writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
