Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.12.2013 and 30.10.2014 and pass orders on the same with regard to illegal promotion order issued by the Madurai Corporation Commissioner in Pro.No.Ma.Ni.1/16466/2013, dated 21.12.2013 and Pro.No.Ma.Nil/004724/2014, dated 04.03.2014 and consider the case of the petitioner for promotion as Office Superintendent on par with the petitioner's junior.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the first respondent to consider his representations dated 24.12.2013 and 30.10.2014. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Bill Collector in the Madurai Corporation during the year 1978 and was promoted as Assistant on 18.08.2010. According to the petitioner, the third respondent issued promotion orders dated 21.12.2013 and 04.03.2014 to ineligible persons, which compelled him to make representations to the first respondent seeking to set aside the said promotion orders, but his representations were not considered. Hence, this writ petition. 3.Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if liberty is given to him to challenge the promotion orders issued by the Madurai Corporation Commissioner in Pro.No.Ma.Ni.1/16466/2013, dated 21.12.2013 and Pro.No.Ma.Nil/ 004724/2014, dated 04.03.2014. 4.
