Petition filed under section 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation dated 02.12.2013 and grant of free house site patta to the petitioner's house, door no.1/123 in natham poramboke land situated at Jingalkathirampatty Village, Pochampalli Taluk, Krishnagiri District.

O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. With the consent of either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioners are said to be in possession and enjoyment of the property to the extent of 0.04 cents of Government Poramboke land, in which they have also said to have been constructed a small house. Seeking grant of patta, the petitioners have made a representation on 02.12.2013. As no orders have been passed, the present writ petition has been filed.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to consider the request for grant of patta on the representation of the petitioners dated 02.12.2013.

4.Considering the submission made and without going into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till the final orders are passed, the status-quo prevailing as on date shall be maintained.

5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above observation. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
