..Respondent(s) PRAYER: Criminal Miscellaneous Petition filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, to modify the condition imposed in the order dated 10.04.2026 requiring the petitioner to report daily before the District Crime Branch, Cuddalore and consequently permit the petitioner to report before any nearby police station as may be directed by this Honourable Court and thus render justice.

ORDER

This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking to modify the condition imposed in Crl.OP.No.7392 of 2026 dated 10.04.2026.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police strongly objected the application, however fairly conceded that the petitioners have been regularly complying with the conditions imposed by this Court.

3. Considering the submissions made on either sides and the nature of the offence, this Court is inclined to modify the condition imposed in Para 6 (c) in Crl.OP.No.7392 of 2026 dated 10.04.2026. Accordingly, the condition that "the petitioners shall report before the respondent police daily at 10.30 am and 5.30 p.m, for a period of 30 days and thereafter, as and when required for interrogation" is modified to the effect that "the petitioners shall report before the respondent police once in a week at 10.30 a.m., until further orders". The other conditions imposed earlier shall remain unaltered.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered. 30-06-2026 DRL
