..Respondents Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the entire records of the first respondent ending with the selection list of 182 Assistant Engineer / Electrical (EEE) by direct recruitment 2013-2014 and selection list of four Assistant Engineer / Electrical (CSE) by direct recruitment 2013-2014 and quash the same and direct the respondents 1 and 2 to revise the ranking list of the candidates
who appeared for the said posts by working out equalization formula between the candidates who had 20 maximum internal marks and the candidates who had 50 maximum internal marks and to select only from those candidates who completed apprenticeship as on 26.05.2013 as notified by the first respondent. The learned counsel for the petitioners mainly contended that inequivalent treatment was made in the process of selection and appointment to the post of Assistant Engineer (Electrical). Admittedly, the process of selection was conducted pursuant to the Recruitment Notification of the year 2013-2014. The selected candidates were appointed and have been working in the TANGEDCO for the past about 8 years.
2. On account of efflux of time, the grounds raised in the present writ petition lost its relevance and therefore, this Court is not inclined to consider the grounds raised in this regard. This apart, the selection was conducted based on the Recruitment Notification and as per the said Notification, the process of selection was concluded.
3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
