ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking direction to the respondent police to register a case on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 16.12.2017.

2. Today, when the matter was called, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that pursuant to the complaint, an enquiry was conducted and it was found that the subject matter was more than the pecuniary jurisdiction of the respondent police and hence, complaint is being transferred to the Central Crime Branch, Chennai. In view of these developments, it would not be appropriate to direct the respondent police to register the case, since the complaint is being referred to the concerned jurisdictional investigating official.

3. Under these circumstances, the Criminal Original Petition stands closed for the present. It is open to the petitioner to submit a copy of his complaint along with the supporting https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

documents to the investigating officer of the Central Crime Branch, Chennai. Connected Miscellaneous petition is also closed.
