ORDER

This petition is filed to direct the Principal Sessions Judge at Chengalpattu to expedite the trial in S.C.No.101 of 2022 within the stipulated period that may be fixed by this Court.

2. This Court, by order dated 11.09.2024, directed the respondent-Police to marshal the witnesses on day-to-day basis and complete the examination of 1 / 3

the witnesses within a period of two months.

3. Now, the Principal District Judge, Chengalpattu, had, by letter dated 29.05.2025 sought for extension of time for five months to examine the remaining 17 witnesses and to dispose of the case.

4. Accordingly, the time for disposal is extended by further period of four months from today and the trial Court is directed to dispose of the said case on merits and in accordance with law and file the report in respect of the disposal of the same.
