COMMON ORDER These Criminal Original Petitions are filed to direct the Learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Pollachi to complete the trial in STC.No.2340 of 2023 and C.C.No.227 of 2021 within a time frame.

2. The petitioner herein seeks expedite trial in C.C.No.227 of 2021 and STC.No.2340 of 2023 pending on the file of Judicial Magistrate No.1, Pollachi. In both the cases, the complainant is same. The defacto complainant being aggrieved by delay in disposal of the trial is before this Court seeking direction for expedite the trial. This Court has called for the status report from the concern Magistrate and from the report, it appears that 1462 calendar case and 642 summary trial case, besides Criminal Miscellaneous Petitions are pending in that Court.

3. Taking note of the pendency and the work load of the Court as well as the fact that C.C.No.227/2021 is pending for more than four years without any progress, this Court directs the trial Court to expedite the trial and complete it as early as possible and the trial Court shall give priority to the other case and try to conduct the trial on day-to-day basis, if possible. 2/4

4. The Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent is directed to instruct the Investigating Officer to marshall the witnesses on hearing dates and co-operate for speedy disposal.

5. With the above observation, these Criminal Original Petitions are disposed of.
