ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioners/accused to quash the FIR registered against the petitioners in Crime No.420 of 2024 for the offence under Sections 296(b), 115(2) and 118(1) of B.N.S. on the file of the respondent police.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it is a case of case and case in counter. Based on the complaint given by the first petitioner, the FIR in Crime No.419 of 2024 was registered against the defacto complainant and others for the offence under Sections 191(2), 296(b), 115(2) and 118(1) of B.N.S. and therefore, as a counter blast, the FIR in Crime No.420 of 2024 has been registered against the petitioners.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the 1 st respondent police submitted that the investigation in both the cases has already been completed and the charge sheet has also been filed before the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Cuddalore.

4. In view of the fact that the investigation has already been completed and the charge sheet has also been filed before the concerned jurisdictional Magistrate, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
