This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to register F.I.R., on the basis of the complaint of the petitioner dated 23.01.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner had lodged a complaint to the Commissioner of Police and not to the jurisdictional Police.

4. Taking into consideration the nature of the allegations found in the complaint of the petitioner dated 23.01.2016, this Court directs the petitioner to appear in person before the first respondent and lodge a fresh complaint. On receipt of such complaint, the same shall be enquired into and action be taken thereon in accordance with law, if it discloses the commission of a cognizable offence or drop action otherwise.
