in OP No.130 of 2015 KRISHNAN RAMASAMY, J., This application has been filed to grant extension of time for completion of arbitration proceedings by Mr.V.G.Suresh Kumar, sole Arbitrator, for a further period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order to be passed.

2.The learned counsel for the applicant has submitted that due to Covid -19 Pandemic, the sole Arbitrator was not in a position to complete the arbitration proceedings in time. Hence, the present application has been filed to extend the mandate of the sole Arbitrator for a further period of three months.

3.The learned counsel has also referred to the proceedings of the sole Arbitrator dated 08.04.2021 wherein, the sole Arbitrator urged the parties to extend the mandate of the Arbitrator. 1/3

KRISHNAN RAMASAMY, J., dn 4.Ms.M.Kalyani, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 has submitted that she has no objection to extend the mandate of the sole Arbitrator.

5.This Court has satisfied with the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed in support of the application and as the learned counsel for the respondent reported no objection, the mandate of the sole Arbitrator is extended for a further period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.Accordingly, this application is allowed.
