O R D E R

This writ petition is filed for a direction to the 2nd respondent to to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 16.05.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and perused the materials available on record.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that her father had two wives; her father executed a registered will bequeathing equal share to all his surviving legal heirs.; her father died on 07.02.2000 and mother died on 21.06.2004; while so, the 3rd respondent removed all the names in the joint patta and issued patta in the name of the 4th respondent alone, challenging which, she has preferred an appeal under Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Act, 1983, before the 2nd respondent to restore the joint patta and the same is pending. Hence, the present writ petition. 2/4

4. Considering the limited relief sought in this writ petition, the 2nd respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 16.05.2024 and pass appropriate orders on the same on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
