This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus directing the respondents to appoint the petitioners as Village Administrative Officers in the vacancies accrued in SC/ST Category from Reserve List 3 dated 08.10.2014 published by the 2nd respondent.

2.Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that the relief sought for herein has become infructuous and hence, nothing survives for adjudication.

3.In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
