In a case registered for an offence under Section 302 IPC, the petitioners herein are suspected being the close relatives of the deceased and the petitioners were called for enquiry. However, alleging that police 1/4
is harassing them and giving representation to the higher authorities are before this Court seeking protection from harassment by the police. 2.
The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), on instructions, states that on a complaint given by the husband of the deceased person, strong suspicion has been made and therefore, enquiry is conducted. The petitioners herein are expected to cooperate with the enquiry, so that the police can rule out whether they are involved in the crime or not. However, to avoid investigation, they are making vile allegations against the police as if police are harassing them. 3.
The allegations in the complaint indicates that there was physical torture to the petitioners while interrogating. The respondent police is hereby directed not to indulge any third degree method in the course of investigation, otherwise the petitioners herein are expected to cooperate with the investigation.

With this observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
