ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's detailed representation dated 13.04.2026, highlighting the flawed alignment of the culvert and the obstruction of the natural water channel Eri-Kal-Vai/Canal comprised in Survey No.48 in Mutharassikuppam Village, Katpadi Taluk, Vellore District and consequently, to direct the respondents 1 to 6 to reconstruct or realign the culvert being constructed in Survey No.48 in strict consonance with the natural flow and alignment of the Eri-Kal-Vai water channel.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.

It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is a resident and agriculturist of Mutharassikuppam Village, Katpadi Taluk, Vellore District and owner of various agricultural lands in Survey Nos. 38, 47, 48 & 61. The respondents have constructed a culvert across the road between Survey Nos.48 & 49 in an improper alignment, resulting in obstruction of the natural flow of the channel, which is also constructed without proper planning and not even issuing any notice to the affected landowners. During the said project, the respondents have also excavated soil from the petitioner's lands causing deep pits and trenches, which resulted the petitioner's lands unfit for cultivation. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner sent a detailed representation on 13.04.2026, however there was no response. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent concerned to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.04.2026 and to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
